Hey!!! My brother, Clay made it to the ALLSTARS at Vine Ingle!!! So, on Saturday, May 19, the American League and the National League went head to head for the ALLSTARS "championship!" First game- did ok.... Clay missed a few pop-ups, but overall we did GREAT in the field!!! We ended up winning 25-10!!! We would've had more because in one inning, there was 0 outs and we got from 4-1 to 15-1!!! We got through our lineup 2 and a half times! They didn't let us hit any more because 11 runs was "plenty". Between games, they played home run derby with tennis balls!!! If you hit it over the fence in the air, or if it bounces over the fence in one bounce, you get a homerun (1 point)!!! You got 10 swings and then you were done. When Clay P. was up, on his 9th swing, he ripped that tennis ball and it bounced over the fence!!! Amazing!!! Nobody thought that little Clay could do that!!! Not even Drew Senn or Clay Rowland got that close!!! Then Charlie Morris did the same thing as Clay! 2 homeruns for the Americans!!! Next Game. Didn't do as good. We were losing 0-2 in the second inning. Oh no!! Next inning we did the same thing as in the first game and got non-stop hits to-the-fence and got 5 runs in! They changed the mercy rule to five runs so it wouldn't get out of control again!!! We ended up beating them something like... 18-6 in a 6 inning game! We got past them after two of their players hit it over the fence for a homerun!!! We were at the ballpark for like 6 hours!!! We were so tired- especially Clay! Clay played 2nd, pitcher, catcher, and right field!! :0 =) ;D :0 =) ;D

My BUSY, BUSY life!!!
Hey!!! So, I've had a BUSY week, or let's say YEAR!!! My week or month or whatever you want to call it has been extremely outrageous!!! With golf, school, and parties, it has been extremely hetic lately. And let's not forget about finals coming up this next week! Uhh! Can't wait 'til then!!! ;-) ;-) ;-) But one of the most important things, or BUSIEST, if not the most important has been my brother's baseball season. He's only eight, so it doesn't really matter that much, but to our family and his team, it SOOOOO does!!! Clay is on the Tampa Bay Rays at Vine Ingle this year. The Coaches are Mark Rowland (head coach) and my dad, Sam Pearson, (assistant coach.) We just finished up the season 10-1 and we all got a trophy for that great accomplishment. There hasn't been that good of a record in several years for mighty league (ages 7 & 8!) I am so proud of Clay and the rest of the Rays!!! Then the mighty league double-elimination tournament started. We one the first two games and then lost the third. It was horrible! After that, we kept on pulling off a win until the championship game! It was a double-header, since the team we played hadn't lost a game in the tournament yet and they had to lose twice. First game- we did great the first 4 innings. Clay caught a sky-high pop-fly, we had amazing to-the-fence hits, and great stops in the infield from hard-hit grounders. Then came the 5th inning. The Astros tie it up 7-7. We were so nervous! We finally got the last out we needed after me and many other fans almost lost our voices by yelling,"Just one more out!!! That's all you need! We still get to hit!". It was the bottom of the lineup for us, the Rays, so we were really worried. Luckily, we got through the last three people in our lineup with only two outs. Will Lamb up to bat from the top of our lineup. Makes it to first. Now, one guy on second, and one on first. Clay Pearson up to bat. Strike. Strike two. Oh no! Could this be it for the Rays, or is he gonna hit it? Next swing. He knocks it to the fence!!! We got a run in and Clay Pearson slides at second to keep that run safe. We did it! We won the first game- thanks to my bro for hitting and awesome hit!!! Next game- same situation. 8-8, bottom of the fifth, bottom of the lineup for the Rays. Except this time... it was the bottom FOUR of our lineup. We knew we probably couldn't pull it off, and we would have to go into a tie breaker, but we still had hope. We got through it once again, with only ONE out this time! Bases loaded! Will Lamb up. Hits it to third and they get a force-out at home. Two outs, bases loaded, still 8-8. Clay Pearson's up. Hits it to shortstop. Throws it home and he's.................................... SAFE!!! The Rays did it again! CHAMPIONS!!! I loved our team! Out of all the teams Clay had had in basketball, baseball, football, or whatever this HAS to be my favorite! Congratulations, RAYS!!!
